OUTDOOR MEDITATION SUNDAY AUGUST 30TH, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
In response to requests from Sangha members, we will be hosting an outside sit by the river at Roberta Smith's house, 712 W Sackett Ave, Salida on the 30th. Please bring a mask and chair (there are some chairs available so if you don't have one to bring you are welcome to come anyway). In case of mosquitos, we suggest long pants and long sleeved shirts or repellant, although at this time there are almost no bugs. In order to socially distance we will have to somewhat limit participants so please RSVP to sangha@salidasangha.org if you plan to attend. The house is easy to find. Look for the rocket ship mailbox by the street and the 8 foot ostrich sculpture by the front door. The easiest way to get to the river is to walk left between the garage and the house and then turn right. If street parking isn't available there is a large parking lot by the baseball fields on the right hand side at the end of the block. We hope to see you there! Note: There will not be a Zoom sit on Sunday August 30th. PRIVATE PRACTICE DISCUSSIONS WITH BRIAN Brian Lesage will be offering private practice sessions via Zoom on Monday September 14th at 11:45am. 12:15pm; 12:45pm; 1:15pm; 1:45pm: 2:15pm. To reserve a time please email sangha@salidasangha.org September 12-13, 2020 Virtual Retreat With Brian Lesage "MOVING INTO BEING MOVED" Live via Zoom We are born with the capacity for an embodied compassion. The July recipient was NAMI Chaffee County. Once again we thank everyone for their continuing financial support of our sangha. Thanks to you we are able to keep the generosity stream flowing! Poem Gregory Orr: Untitled ["Grief will come to you"] Grief will come to you. Grip and cling all you want, It makes no difference. Catastrophe? It's just waiting to happen. Loss? You can be certain of it. Flow and swirl of the world. Carried along as if by a dark current. All you can do is keep swimming; All you can do is keep singing. May your continuing practice be of benefit to all beings everywhere, Our deepest blessings and gratitude, Your Salida Sangha board |
