​The Salida sangha is hosting a special evening with Brian Lesage.

No cost, but offerings of generosity (Dana) for Brian, gratefully accepted.
 
As a Sangha, our intention is to be inclusive in all ways, within our existing
Sangha and within our larger community. As a way of bringing this intention
more fully into awareness, we have asked Brian Lesage, our guiding teacher, to
lead us all in a discussion about Diversity and Inclusivity. We want all of our
voices included in this exploration, so please join us if you can. If you are not
able to attend, please feel free to email the Sangha in advance at
salidasangha@gmail.com with any input or with specific items you would like to
see included in the discussion. Here is a rough outline that Brian has offered:

• 10 to 15 minutes – Share reflections on Diversity and Inclusion in the
context of our Spiritual Path
• Explain the process of exploring this topic in the context of discussion

• Get into groups of 3 – exploring these questions:
1. How is diversity and inclusion important for you and your spiritual
practice?
2. What are the challenges that you see around this arena?
3. What do you see as practical ways of moving forward?
• Group Discussion

Brian Lesage has practiced Buddhist meditation since 1988 and has
taught meditation since 2000. He has studied in the Zen, Theravada and
Tibetan schools of Buddhism. He was ordained in the Rinzai Zen tradition
in 1996. His training in Vipassana Meditation includes doing extended
meditation retreats in Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, and India as well as
numerous retreats in the U.S. He leads retreats and teaches meditation
courses nationwide. Brian also has a private practice in Somatic
Experiencing, which is a naturalistic approach to healing trauma. You
