The Buddha's teachings on simplicity provide an essential component for living a life of contentment and freedom. In this retreat we will gather together and explore the many facets of this teaching through the practice of continuous mindfulness meditation in silence throughout the day—in sitting and walking meditation. The retreat will be held mostly in silence. There will be optional discussion times to discuss the experiential meditative approaches that will be offered throughout the retreat. This retreat is designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
COST: No Cost Retreat - Donations to the teacher are gratefully accepted. Participants will have the opportunity to offer dana (donations) to the teacher at retreat’s end. The teacher will receive no other financial compensation.

Solstice and New Year's Eve Celebrations
Thanks to everyone who joined us on Winter Solstice and New Year's Eve. Jody Bol initiated and led a lovely solstice gathering at Sands Lake with ritual shared at each cardinal compass point.
And New Year's eve was a light hearted hour of music, poetry, good news, letting go of the old and setting intentions for the new. Special thanks to Eunice Colette and Cindy and Phil Sasso for the live music.
