May 19th and 20th at Meadowrock Ranch in Nathrop
Non-residential retreat with Brian Lesage
Cultivating Compassion for Ourselves & the World
A 2-day Compassion Meditation Retreat
This will be an opportunity to learn and practice various forms of Compassion meditation in silence throughout the weekend. We will explore these forms mostly in silent sitting and walking meditation but also in the form of a traditional chanting and bowing practice. This retreat is designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
During these 2 days Brian will be introducing a Kuan Yin chanting and bowing practice. Participants will be offered the option not to engage in this practice if they are uncomfortable with it. However, since the topic itself is so powerful and timely and seems to meet the sangha's expressed desire for variety and exploration we encourage everyone to approach it with an open mind and as an opportunity to stretch and grow and perhaps expand outside of our usual comfort zone.
We hope you will join us!
Registration information and more details will be sent to you in February.
Our deepest blessings to you all,
Your sangha board
