SIMC BOARD CHANGES
Mike Fisher and Phil Sasso both recently resigned from our board of directors and we sincerely thank them both for continuing to be of service to us without having to attend our meetings! Carla Jaramillo, who has been working deligently behind the scenes for some time, has joined the board and her skills, energy and commitment are truly delightful. Thank you Carla!
FROM OUR SANGHA LIBRARY
Our generous Sangha Members have made these recent contributions to our library:
Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung: inspiring stories for welcoming life's difficulties by Ajahn Brahn
Sangha member, Larry Moskow says: “I really enjoyed these stories so I donated a copy for the library.” Similar to the Buddha, Ajahn Brahn uses stories to carry important messages. Some included topics are Perfection and Guilt, Love and Commitment, Fear and Pain, and Creating Happiness. Many thanks, Larry.
Why Buddhism is True: the science and philosophy of meditation and enlightenment by Robert Wright
An evolutionary scientist takes a tough-minded and witty look at meditation and Buddhism and concludes that Buddhism will make us happier, better people. Many thanks to an anonymous donor.
