OUR VISION:
Salida Insight Meditation Community (SIMC) is dedicated to fostering a welcoming refuge for all people to explore meditation, mindful living, and the teachings of the Buddha. We come together to support each other on the path of awakening and to deepen our practice of wisdom and compassion for the benefit of all beings. We are committed to cultivating an appreciation of the value of diversity and to acknowledging the need to recognize and dissolve barriers that separate us from each other. We open our doors and hearts to all social identities including, but not limited to, all races, classes, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, abilities, cultures, and ethnicities. Individuals from all religious and spiritual backgrounds, and at all stages of their spiritual journey, are welcome. May our work together bring freedom and happiness to all beings everywhere without exception.

The Salida Insight Meditation Community holds monthly board meetings that are open to all who are interested. Meeting dates may shift, so please check our calendar for the most up-to-date information.
Each year, we also host an annual meeting where everyone is encouraged to attend. We share community updates, financial reports, vote in board members, and invite questions or reflections from Sangha members. Afterward, we gather for a joyful all-community potluck—a warm evening of connection, sharing, and togetherness.

If you are interested in listening to any of Brian's past dharma talks, please visit the Online Talks section of our Resources page.

"In these simplest moments of awareness, I etch the dharma onto the bark and preserve it for future generations. And when the dharma is moving through, suddenly there is so much less of me, and at the same time, the feeling that I am beginning to fully arrive into the vastness of the dharma."
