Spring Awakening at SIMC

“All conditioned things are impermanent.” — Dhammapada (Verse 277)
As spring arrives, we are reminded that all things arise through changing conditions. The softening of the earth and the quiet emergence of new life invites us to soften as well, meeting our experience with curiosity and care. In practice, we need not force growth or renewal; we simply attend to what is unfolding, moment by moment. Through mindful awareness, we learn to trust the natural rhythm of awakening—both around us and within our own hearts.
As we step into this season together, may we continue to support one another in kindness, patience, and steady presence. Each small moment of awareness nourishes the whole. May our shared practice be a refuge and a source of gentle strength for all.
May you and all beings be well and at peace.

Library News
About our Sangha Library
Our Sangha Library is a valuable resource for guidance, inquiry, and support. It is open before and after meditation sits and by arrangement for other times. Library managers are happy to help with an overview, finding or suggesting books and other questions.
Checking out a library book is easy: simply bring it to the big round table, fill out the checkout slip located there, and place it in the locked wooden box.
When returning your books, please place them inside the labled returnbasket to the left of the door as you walk into the library or leave them in our outdoor return box mounted on the railing by the kitchen entrance. We'll do the rest.
New Book Additions
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our sangha members. These dharma book titles were added recently because of your kind generosity.
What is our Sangha Reading?
Thank you to Robb Austin for telling us this about The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo: "Daily entries for contemplation, truths and stories."
