Practicing Clear Intention within Meditation & Silence
September 14 -15, 2024 (Saturday 9-4; Sunday 9-3:30)
This non-residential retreat provides an opportunity to practice continuous mindfulness in silence throughout the weekend in sitting and walking meditation. In silence we have the space to delve deeply inward and begin to learn to skillfully place the intention to be present with the flow of experience in a way that allows compassion and wisdom to arise. This retreat is designed for beginners and experienced practitioners.
These retreats fill up fast so we encourage you to register early to reserve you spot.
Roberta Smith Retiring from SIMC board
After many, many years of service on the SIMC board, Roberta has decided to step down as a board member. It is a big loss to our board but we understand she's ready to move on to enjoy other things. We appreciate all the work Roberta has generously given through her years of service and offer her big hugs and lots of goodness and adventures beyond the Sangha board. From the bottom of our hearts - Thank You Roberta! You have done so much for our Sangha. Your giving and caring heart and sweet and gentle spirit will be missed on our board.
If you see Roberta, please offer your gratitude for her dedication, generosity, and all the work she has put in over the years. We are glad Roberta will remain an integral and important Sangha member. 💕🙏🏼
Gratitude for our Yard-Clean Up Warriors
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to those individuals who showed up for our yard clean-up on July 13th. There were a lot of weeds and we made a dent so Thank You, you mighty yard heroes!!
For those who couldn't make it, our summer yard always needs some weed picking and with the rains, many will spring right up so if you have some time (even 10 minutes), we would appreciate any and all weed picking. Please use the big trash can at the side of the house to dispose of any weeds you pick.
If anyone would like to become an official yard maintenance person, we are really needing one or two people to commit to helping out on a regular basis.
Please reach out to Sangha@salidasangha.org and Paul will contact you.
