November at SIMC | A Season of Gratitude
“Health is the greatest gift, contentment is the greatest wealth, a trusted friend is the best relative, Nibbana is the greatest bliss.”
— Dhammapada Verse 204
As November arrives and the season turns toward stillness, we are invited to slow down and appreciate the simple gifts of our lives. The Buddha taught, “Contentment is the greatest wealth,” reminding us that gratitude grows when we recognize what is already here. Through our practice, we cultivate an open heart, finding joy in connection, generosity, and the quiet moments of everyday life. May this season offer us opportunities to deepen our gratitude for one another and for the sangha we share.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fall Cleanup and Appreciation Lunch! It was truly moving to see so many come together, generously offering your time and energy to care for our sangha, share a meal, and enjoy one another’s company.
We are also deeply grateful to those who signed up to help in ways that feel meaningful and possible for them.
It is through these acts of generosity, care, and connection that our sangha continues to flourish. Thank you for all the ways you help make this community so special.
