DEATH CAFE Thursday, November 30, 3:30-5:00 at the Sangha House, 248 D St. Salida The Salida Sangha’s Death Cafe is a place to freely share any topic around death and dying. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. The Sangha’s Death Cafe is intended to be for those who have or have had a Buddhist practice. However, no one will be turned away. A Death Cafe is NOT a bereavement or grief counseling setting, nor an educational forum for providing information about death and dying. The intention for gathering is to provide a safe and supportive space for a group discussion. Please join us. SANGHA FRIENDS December 13. 6:00-7:00 You are invited to join the “Sangha Friends” group which meets once a month at the sangha house. Its purpose is to foster friendships through conversations on topics of interest – somewhat like a book club. Participants will receive a discussion piece at least a week before the meeting. It might be a Ted Talk, a Lion’s Roar article, or a recording/video of a talk by Brian or another teacher. The material for each meeting will take less than an hour to review. Contact sangha@salidasangha.org if you are interested. We give thanks to each one of you for your presence and practice in our precious community. Your SIMC board, Denise, Kym, Mike, Paul, Phil & Roberta
